Powder metallurgy (PM) is one of the classic methods for processing metals and alloys powder based on compression in mold and creating green part, and then sintering in the furnace for final consolidation. In order to make a wide range of parts in this process, a variety of pure, pre-mixed and pre-alloyed powders are used in different mixtures of iron, copper, aluminum, bronze, brass, nickel and chromium. In metal injection molding (MIM) method, which has more precise dimensional accuracy and the ability to produce more complex parts than the conventional PM method, the mixture of powders and additives similar to the die-cast method is injected into the mold and then the green part is subjected to the furnace for sintering operation. Many spherical powders of stainless steel category, including austenitic, ferritic and martensitic powders, are suitable for production with this method.
